Can I update my website myself?
Yes. We build websites with WordPress so you can update text, images, news and other everyday content without having to call a developer. We will show you how everything works before the site is handed over.
Do you provide training after the website launches?
Yes. Training can be included as part of the project and tailored to the people who will actually manage the site. We keep it practical, jargon-free and focused on the tasks you need to complete.
Can you rescue or rebuild an existing website?
Absolutely. If your website is unfinished, difficult to update, unreliable or no longer supported, we can assess what is worth keeping and recommend the most sensible route forward. Sometimes that means repairing the existing site; sometimes a careful rebuild is the better investment.
Can you migrate a website from another provider?
Yes. We can move websites from expensive or restrictive platforms to WordPress, including the content, design elements and functionality that still serve a purpose. We plan the move carefully to minimise disruption and deal with redirects where page addresses change.
Do you provide hosting and domain names?
Yes. We can register and manage domain names and provide fast, secure hosting for your website. You can choose a managed service, where we look after the technical side, or hosting that you control yourself.
Will my website work properly on phones and tablets?
Yes. Every website we build is designed and tested for desktop, tablet and mobile use. Responsive design is part of the job, not a bolt-on extra.
Can you create the photography, video and branding too?
Yes. Robot Butler can provide the complete creative package, including logo design, branding, professional photography, promotional video and help with your wider online presence. It keeps the finished website coherent and saves you from coordinating several different suppliers.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance and support?
Yes. We can look after updates, security, backups and technical maintenance, or simply be available when you need help. The right level of support depends on how hands-on you want to be.
Do you specialise in school websites?
Yes. School websites are a major part of our work. We understand that they need to serve families, staff, governors and inspectors while remaining straightforward for school staff to update. We can also provide photography, video, migration and staff training as part of the project.
Do you only work with organisations in the North East?
No. Robot Butler is based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, and we enjoy working with local clients, but we can work with businesses, schools, charities and organisations throughout the UK.
